  Harper High School’s varsity volleyball team defeated La Pryor last night for the Bi-District Championship in three games, 25-8, 25-15, 25-22.

• Cubs to face state-ranked competition at regional meet  -  The Region III-4A meet could provide a glimpse of the future Class 4A state champion Saturday when some of the top cross country teams in the state gather for a regional meet that could have state title implications.

• No. 16 Grandview ends Lady Dragons’ season
  DUBLIN — The Bangs Lady Dragons put forth a spirited effort, but second-year head coach Adrian Welch’s squad was not quite up to the task of derailing the 16th-ranked Grandview Lady Zebras.

• In with a bang  -  The Grandview Lady Zebras never trailed in their playoff match against Bangs as they swept the Lady Dragons 25-15, 25-9, 25-21.….more>>  

• Godley falls to Holliday in four games  -  The Godley Lady Cats historic volleyball season came to an end against Holliday in the Class 2A bi-district playoffs Tuesday night at Decatur High School.

• Beeville bumps off Flour Bluff  -  After a five-year hiatus, Beeville is headed back to the Region IV-4A quarterfinals. The Trojans volleyball team is returning to the regional quarterfinals this season for the first time since 2001 thanks to its 25-22, 25-20, 17-25, 26-24 Class 4A …

• Diboll downs Roughriders 42-34
  Lumberjacks clinch playoff berth

• Wall of Honor awards presented posthumously during Friday ceremony
  Each year, the “Diboll Athletics Wall of Honor,” recognizes individuals for their outstanding athletic achievements and sportsmanship while also recognizing retired teachers, coaches and administrators that have provided outstanding service to the Diboll athletic program.

• Ladyjacks land third seed spot in playoff picture; Carthage, Crockett teams to beat in bi-district matches  -  Despite their four-game win over the Lady ‘Riders of Center (14-25, 25-23, 25-11, 25-11) which sent them to the playoffs in a tie with Crockett, the Diboll Ladyjack volleyball team couldn’t hang on to that position after meeting Crockett this past Saturday

  This is the final regular season game for the Gonzales Apaches who have already assured themselves of a play-off contest as the Division I school from 29-3A. They will host Cuero’s Gobblers at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

• Alumni to honor ‘87 team
  Cuero I.S.D. Alumni Association and the Gobbler Booster Club will be honoring the 1987 State Champion football team at the Nov. 9 football game here.

• Pantherettes’ playoff run ends abruptly
  ROYSE CITY — North Lamar’s storybook season ended abruptly Tuesday night, several chapters short of what fans and the team expected.

  MOUNT PLEASANT — The Clarksville Lady Tigers recorded the first volleyball playoff win in school history in impressive fashion by defeating Edgewood in three games, 25-15, 25-16, 26-24, Tuesday night.
